Now is the time to start thinking about your Christmas shopping.

It's always a great idea to start with some basic planning.

1. Make a list of everyone you will be purchasing for.
     Remember to add in all those people you buy for that often get forgotten until the last

3. Brainstorm gift ideas. Use the web to save time.

Use of Perfume in Subliminal Advertising

Understand The Use Of Fragrances In Subliminal Advertising and Save Your Money.

Did you know that there are fragrances used commercially to encourage you to buy? Up until recently, I had no clue to the extent fragrances (ambient scents) were used in this manner. A couple of months ago, I was listening to a CD on managing my money and was surprised by what I was learning.

I knew fragrances affected our mood --- I've experienced it many times and have written about it. This is a knotch above. These fragrances are 'designed' to affect our behavior!

I knew there were some stores that blatantly used fragrances to attract their young customers -- like Hollister and Abercrombie & Fitch. My daughter is drawn into those stores, and loves the perfume scent they spray everywhere. Even going as far as finding the perfume spray bottle that they use to spray the store with their signature fragrance left on a shelf by an employee, and spraying herself with it.

But these are not the only stores using scents to get customers to buy. Most are much more subtle. Patented fragrances - ambient scents
